Screen printing of t-shirts, hoodies & more
Custom screen printing Thames of apparel is in our opinion the best way to decorate your garments. We use T-shirt screen printing as a starting point. If it can be screen printed cleanly and economically we would rather use this method than any other. A good quality screen print will usually outlast the life of the garment.

Our screen printing is priced per print. With a minimum of 10 prints. We have price breaks at 20, 50, 100, 250, 500 and 1000 prints. The more prints we do the more you economical it is for you. The print must be the same size and screens / colours for this to be the case.
For example: You may run the same print and colours across different garments - tees, hoods, singlets etc and even different coloured garments but as long as the print is the same you will be eligible for price breaks.
Each colour of each screen print requires a screen to be made up - there is a lot of time and work involved in this so a screen setup fee needs to be charged each time.
For instance you may have a 3 colour design that you want to print 100 of but you want 50 of those to be certain colours and the other 50 to be different colours. You would still get the price for 100 prints. We can clean the ink off the screens that need colour changing and replace with new ink. There is a small fee for this.
You can print many areas of garments but not all. We can't do all-over prints and we can't print over seams.
Generally we print front, back and sleeves but any placement idea that you have that is out of the ordinary we can definitely look at - just email us and we can discuss.
Yes. We have a great team of designers and we also own and run a branding / graphic design agency KRISP Design so you can be sure you are in good hands whether you just need a design for your tee or a full branding package.
Due to the amount of work that is involved in screen printing we prefer to work with a minimum of 20 prints but can go as low as 10 prints.
For smaller orders of 1-2 garments we have some other application options or can refer you to someone that can help.

We work as what we would call an Apparel Brokerage. We don't screen print our garments on site at our offices in Auckland or Thames but we do have preferred screen print partners, some of who we have worked with for over 20 years. We have a few different print partners so have plenty of capacity to get your orders printed relatively quickly.
With low overheads and long time supply agreements this means we are able to offer you very competitive rates on your screen printed apparel while also being able to offer a wide range of other services such as Embroidery, DTG Digital Printing, Sports Numbering and Digital Transfers, Design, Apparel Supply and more through one point of contact. All your apparel design and decoration needs covered with the need to talk to numerous different suppliers.
Yes we can often deliver locally if you are close enough to us. We can also offer overnight courier delivery nationwide once your order is complete.
Please supply all artwork as vector images with text converted to paths / outlines. Accepted files are: .ai / .eps / .pdf
This gives us the base for the cleanest, sharpest print possible.
We can accept high resolution raster images though we ideally need these as layered files with no background so we can easily separate for screens.
Should you only have a jpeg file of your logo we can often vectorise / recreate your logo for you at a small cost and supply this back to you once we have used it for print.
Generally yes, we believe screen printing on cotton garments like t-shirts, singlets, hoodies and crews is the best application for quantities above 20 units with 1-8 colours. There are of course a number of reasons as to why or why not screen print is the best application for your garments so we often need to see your design and can make a recommendation from there. If we can't screen print we have a number of other great application methods.
Quality. We pride ourselves on providing quality apparel and quality workmanship in decoration of those garments.
Competitive pricing. We are not the cheapest out there but we are very competitive compared to many others with higher overheads. Good quality doesn't come cheap but doesn't have to cost the earth.

We can also manufacture custom neck and pip labels for you - This process normally takes around 4 weeks.
We rarely have to deal with this but when we do we'll bend over backwards to get this up to our standards and yours. Often if these issues arise, which they do from time to time, we'll catch it and remedy it before your order gets to you but in the case that we don't, please let us know and we will fix it.

Yes you can supply your own but generally we can give you a much better rate on these than you would get if you purchased them yourself.
We do need to check apparel that you supply to us to make sure it is safe for us to print. Screen printing needs high heat to cure the ink so certain fabrics and brands or high end garments may not be suitable for us to print. We'll always let you know before we start printing if this is likely to be a problem.
